IMC Companies Opens New Container Storage Facility in Long Beach
We see the real-life effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused havoc in the supply chain.
At IMC Companies, we needed to think outside of the box to quickly establish a loaded container yard outside the nation’s largest ports to meet our customer’s needs while providing relief to the congested SOCAL port facilities. This led to the opening of a brand new storage facility in August 2020. The new facility covers 10 acres and has the ability to ground 3,000 containers which creates more chassis availability in Los Angeles and the rest of the country. Our peel-off schedule allows trucks to drop off and pick up in an average of 10 minutes.

IMC COMPANIES TO LAUNCH NEW WEST COAST COMPANY: PACIFIC DRAYAGE SERVICES
IMC Companies, a Memphis-based leader in nationwide intermodal logistics, recently added another company to its family of brands. On August 19th, IMC Companies launched Pacific Drayage Services (PDS) to provide drayage and warehousing services to customers in the Seattle and Tacoma markets. The PDS fleet is made up entirely of company-owned trucks and employee drivers. IMC Companies has ordered 150 new company trucks to bolster their presence on the West Coast. The new fleet of Mack trucks was a $20 million capital expense.
